Natural hair dye side effects

Select a bleach-free, natural washing powder or laundry detergent. Wet hair. Work in detergent one tablespoon at a time, avoiding your eyes, ears, and mouth. Rinse and repeat for several washes until hair is desired color. Other options include vinegar, a mix of dandruff shampoo and baking soda, or a commercial hair color remover.

The most beautiful thing we possess is our body and soul. Our body requires regular care and maintenance to keep looking healthy and beautiful. We all have to live through some ailments and other health problems from time to time. However, nature has created a remedy contained within in plants and herbs -for every health problem. Whether it's fresh produce, dried herbs, essential oils or extracts: the key to beautiful health is using pure botanical rich ingredients derived from nature.

I thought about using henna, but as I researched natural hair dyes, I found a few links that talked about using coffee. Of course, I didn’t follow any of the directions because I thought I could come up with a better way to do it—and I did, but it took me two tries.

So I boiled a pot of water (about 5 cups of water), took it off the stove and put in 5 tablespoons of black walnut powder. I let this steep for about an hour.

Don't worry about the slight vinegar smell you will notice after rinsing. It will disappear completely as your hair dries.

Make your own healthy after-shampoo hair rinse by mixing 1/3 of a cup (75 ml) of ACV into a quart (1 liter) of water. You can then store this mixture in a plastic bottle and keep it in the shower for ready use.

If you would like to prepare a smaller batch of this vinegar hair rinse recipe to experiment with, try mixing 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of apple cider vinegar into 1 cup (250 ml) of warm filtered tap water.

Apply the vinegar rinse after shampooing and then rinse it all out, or for extra conditioning, you can leave the rinse on your hair. This natural hair care product can be used once or twice a week or more often as needed.

Chemicals in hair dye have been linked to a variety of very harmful effects. The use of hair dye has been linked to cancer, allergic reactions, and respiratory disorders. You also have to be careful of hair dyes marked as “natural” because they even contain hazardous chemicals such as resorcinol, ammonia or peroxide, and PPD, even if it is a reduced amount. PPD damages the DNA of human cells and often causes allergic reactions. Evidence has shown that those who use hair dye are at an increased risk of developing Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and leukemia.

We found that tweaking a variation of our Natural Black formula (adding some additional henna and blending in some light reflective conditioners) we could get a glorious dark chocolatey brown. This color captures all the cool depth of the Natural Black, yet still warms the hair with its mocha rich browns.

Protein and moisture have an interdependent relationship.  A proper moisture protein balance is important for the overall quality of your hair.  One without the other leads to breakage.  Protein deficient hair equals breakage and moisture deficient hair leads to breakage.  Conversely, too much of one or the other can lead to breakage (hair is imbalanced).  Deep conditioning with a moisturizing deep conditioner weekly and protein deep conditioner biweekly or monthly can help you maintain balance. Balanced hair is healthy hair.  Still foggy on Moisture Protein Balance check out this video: Demystifying Moisture Protein .
