Good natural hair conditioner

I have a 12 year old with long hair but her hair has start to shed really bad could you give me some advice on what to do to prevent the shedding

After about 1 week of wearing my hair straight, I wanted that curly look back. How we get so set in our ways mara. So I set my hair using…

Men may recognize the signs of ‘male pattern baldness’ which often lead to partial or complete baldness, while women experience thinning of the hair over the entire scalp.

Relaxing hair gives you six to eight weeks or so of beautifully straight and silky hair. However, the transition from relaxed hair into natural hair is tough - odd curly bits, split ends and endless breakage. Don't lose hope, since there is a recovery route. Getting back to your natural beauty is a beautiful thing and an interesting road to self discovery.

1.  Is it safe for the hair ?  Chances are, if you can eat it, you can put it on your body.  Honey contains vitamins, minerals, is antibacterial, acts as a humectant (attracts moisture), and has incredible healing properties.  Many civilizations in the past and today use honey for many, many uses, and honey for hair is one of those uses.   So, honey is definitely safe for the hair and has stood the test of time.

Since I was little I have seen my mother make her own natural shampoo using shikakai, reetha (soap nut) and orange or lemon peel. I had never tried it until recently when my favourite shampoo had its ingredients changed, and my hair refused to like the new ones. Luckily my mother was paying us a visit. And I decided to use her expertise of making this all natural homemade shampoo.

The sebaceous glands in human skin produce sebum, which is composed primarily of fatty acids . Sebum acts to protect hair and skin, and can inhibit the growth of microorganisms on the skin. Sebum contributes to the skin’s slightly acidic natural pH somewhere between 5 and on the pH spectrum. This oily substance gives hair moisture and shine as it travels naturally down the hair shaft, and serves as a protective substance by preventing the hair from drying out or absorbing excessive amounts of external substances. Sebum is also distributed down the hair shaft “mechanically” by brushing and combing. When sebum is present in excess, the roots of the hair can appear oily, greasy, and darker than normal, and the hair may stick together.

In this section we designate as a " DHT blocker " any product that achieves any of the objectives above. The importance of the DHT blockers in this section is to keep DHT from damaging the hair follicles. This is imperative to stopping long term hair loss. Damaged hair follicles will begin producing less hair, thinner hair until they stop producing hair completely.

4. Curls Berry Bliss Curl :  I always wanted to try a Curls product but always shied away when ever I saw the price. Luckily I was able to receive this Berry Bliss Curl at an event back in September and instantly fell in love. This is marketed more as an edge control but it definitely has the power t work along side another styler to help define your curls. I use for both my edge control and as an added layer/shield in my twist outs.

Don't worry about the slight vinegar smell you will notice after rinsing. It will disappear completely as your hair dries.

Make your own healthy after-shampoo hair rinse by mixing 1/3 of a cup (75 ml) of ACV into a quart (1 liter) of water. You can then store this mixture in a plastic bottle and keep it in the shower for ready use.

If you would like to prepare a smaller batch of this vinegar hair rinse recipe to experiment with, try mixing 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of apple cider vinegar into 1 cup (250 ml) of warm filtered tap water.

Apply the vinegar rinse after shampooing and then rinse it all out, or for extra conditioning, you can leave the rinse on your hair. This natural hair care product can be used once or twice a week or more often as needed.
