4. Curls Berry Bliss Curl :  I always wanted to try a Curls product but always shied away when ever I saw the price. Luckily I was able to receive this Berry Bliss Curl at an event back in September and instantly fell in love. This is marketed more as an edge control but it definitely has the power t work along side another styler to help define your curls. I use for both my edge control and as an added layer/shield in my twist outs.

"I've bleached my hair for 45 years. Last year my hair began to split and fallout - cue panic stations! I discovered Daniel Field Water Colours on the web - joy, no bleach! I use the palest soft golden blonde, . It's a fantastic colour that leaves my hair in very good condition with lots of body to it. I'm so happy that now I'll never have to use bleach again. My hair is a beautiful light golden blonde. I also use your body builder spray - love it! Thanks Daniel Field"

Since I was little I have seen my mother make her own natural shampoo using shikakai, reetha (soap nut) and orange or lemon peel. I had never tried it until recently when my favourite shampoo had its ingredients changed, and my hair refused to like the new ones. Luckily my mother was paying us a visit. And I decided to use her expertise of making this all natural homemade shampoo.

So I asked you all to let me know if you had any questions. Over 30 people sent me messages and the #1 question asked was “How do I grow my hair longer?”  Now people asked it in various ways but essentially it was the same question.  How do I get from where I am […]

Relaxing hair gives you six to eight weeks or so of beautifully straight and silky hair. However, the transition from relaxed hair into natural hair is tough - odd curly bits, split ends and endless breakage. Don't lose hope, since there is a recovery route. Getting back to your natural beauty is a beautiful thing and an interesting road to self discovery.

I agree with every single word she said. My hair is a tad shorter than hers, but I've noticed a tremendous growth spurt once I developed a consistent low manipulation, no heat, lots of moisture routine. Other things I would add: diet, water and exercise. Eating lots of raw foods, wholesome, nutritious foods, drinking lots of water (and virtually nothing else), and taking vitamin supplements (especially biotin) has helped too.

I DC once a week (overnight) and henna once a month (overnight).

Hair growth begins inside the hair follicle . The only "living" portion of the hair is found in the follicle. The hair that is visible is the hair shaft, which exhibits no biochemical activity and is considered "dead". The base of a hair's root (the "bulb") contains the cells that produce the hair shaft. [8] Other structures of the hair follicle include the oil producing sebaceous gland which lubricates the hair and the arrector pili muscles, which are responsible for causing hairs to stand up. In humans with little body hair, the effect results in goose bumps .

I have a 12 year old with long hair but her hair has start to shed really bad could you give me some advice on what to do to prevent the shedding

Don't worry about the slight vinegar smell you will notice after rinsing. It will disappear completely as your hair dries.

Make your own healthy after-shampoo hair rinse by mixing 1/3 of a cup (75 ml) of ACV into a quart (1 liter) of water. You can then store this mixture in a plastic bottle and keep it in the shower for ready use.

If you would like to prepare a smaller batch of this vinegar hair rinse recipe to experiment with, try mixing 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of apple cider vinegar into 1 cup (250 ml) of warm filtered tap water.

Apply the vinegar rinse after shampooing and then rinse it all out, or for extra conditioning, you can leave the rinse on your hair. This natural hair care product can be used once or twice a week or more often as needed.
