In this section we designate as a " DHT blocker " any product that achieves any of the objectives above. The importance of the DHT blockers in this section is to keep DHT from damaging the hair follicles. This is imperative to stopping long term hair loss. Damaged hair follicles will begin producing less hair, thinner hair until they stop producing hair completely.

So I asked you all to let me know if you had any questions. Over 30 people sent me messages and the #1 question asked was “How do I grow my hair longer?”  Now people asked it in various ways but essentially it was the same question.  How do I get from where I am […]

Hair growth begins inside the hair follicle . The only "living" portion of the hair is found in the follicle. The hair that is visible is the hair shaft, which exhibits no biochemical activity and is considered "dead". The base of a hair's root (the "bulb") contains the cells that produce the hair shaft. [8] Other structures of the hair follicle include the oil producing sebaceous gland which lubricates the hair and the arrector pili muscles, which are responsible for causing hairs to stand up. In humans with little body hair, the effect results in goose bumps .

Since I was little I have seen my mother make her own natural shampoo using shikakai, reetha (soap nut) and orange or lemon peel. I had never tried it until recently when my favourite shampoo had its ingredients changed, and my hair refused to like the new ones. Luckily my mother was paying us a visit. And I decided to use her expertise of making this all natural homemade shampoo.

Each camel can produce around five pounds ( kg) of hair a year. Hair may be collected by shearing , combing or by collecting fiber shed naturally during the six to eight-week molting season in late spring. [1] Fallen hair is normally gathered by hand. [2]

On the other hand, many of the hair care products we use, such as soap-based shampoos, bleaches, hair colors, and permanents are  strongly alkaline .

"I've bleached my hair for 45 years. Last year my hair began to split and fallout - cue panic stations! I discovered Daniel Field Water Colours on the web - joy, no bleach! I use the palest soft golden blonde, . It's a fantastic colour that leaves my hair in very good condition with lots of body to it. I'm so happy that now I'll never have to use bleach again. My hair is a beautiful light golden blonde. I also use your body builder spray - love it! Thanks Daniel Field"

CO hasn't eliminated my SSK, but I'm still liking it anyway. :-)

I tried it under a two-strand twist and curl that I dried under the bonnet hair dryer. I have since tried to replicated the style without heat, but wasn't able to duplicate the stretched softness I achieved. *sigh*

Still expirimenting with CO under gels; using ICF and ECO, but have not found the happy ratio.

I prefer CO to hair grease. It made my hair feel softer than grease did. Sorry I wasted my $ on that "fad".
