Natural shampoo brands

I am a black woman with natural hair (11 years strong :-) and use organic products faithfully. These products may not be tested on black hair, but there are many blogs and YouTube videos of people like us with loose hair and locs that provide insight. It’s unfortunate, but true that we may not be included in the research testing. Maybe we should write the companies directly? Any rate, I love this post and would like to say I am a true fan of Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle line, but eager to try the Avalon products. Thanks =c)

Some days, I just don’t have time to wash my hair, you know? That’s supposed to be good for it; a lot of experts say you shouldn’t wash your hair every day. I have those lots, and Umberto is one of the only dry shampoos. I’ve ever tried that actually leaves my hair looking as good as it does when I was it.

The Center for Environmental Health filed the suit after discovering the presence of cocamide DEA, the foam stabilizer and volumizer, in shampoos and soaps. In the state of California, Proposition 65 requires manufacturers to warn consumers over the risks of certain substances. Cocamide DEA is on that list because it is a suspected carcinogen. It was banned in the state last year after a study found it caused cancer in laboratory animals.
