Aside from being a healthier choice, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting charity , Stranded keeps things custom. How? By catering to you and your hair color: white for blondes, pink for redheads and brown for brunettes. (Dissimilar to most other brands that only come in generic shades). The stuff's finer than baby powder, but sturdier than an aerosol formula—so it blends expertly and sops up the oiliest of strands. "I like to use it at night before bed, so when I wake up my hair feels fresh," recommended co-founder Lauren Scruggs Kennedy . "While you sleep, your hair's soaking up the product."

This powerful all natural formula cleanses without water, rinsing or mess. Unlike other bath replacement sprays Dry Dog Instant Clean doesn’t just mask bad smells with heavy perfume it eradicates them completely, An all natural ingredient called Ordenone traps the odor-causing proteins leaving your high speed hound refreshed renewed and ready for his next appointment.

The basic idea of a dry shampoo (or wet-dry shampoo) is to put an oil absorbing substance (like arrowroot or cornstarch) on the oily parts of your hair to absorb the oil and leave it looking clean. This is also very helpful if you’ll be styling hair and need it to hold. Dirty hair hold better than clean hair, but it doesn’t have to look dirty. In fact, for an upcoming wedding I’ll be sporting hair that hasn’t been washed in three days (you’re welcome for that visual!) 🙂

When aerosol dry shampoo came on the market, it was a life-changer for me (I was in college at the time, working and studying, and often running late to both). What an amazing invention! Until you look at the ingredient label…

Specialty shampoos are available for people with dandruff , color-treated hair, gluten or wheat allergies, an interest in using an "all-natural", " organic ", " botanical " or "plant-derived" product, and infants and young children ("baby shampoo" is less irritating). There are also shampoos intended for animals that may contain insecticides or other medications to treat skin conditions or parasite infestations such as fleas.

1. Dip your makeup brush into your dry shampoo mixture and tap off any excess on the edge of your container. With your brush, apply the dry shampoo to the roots and in the areas that tend to get oily, like your bangs and part. Focus mostly on the roots, but if the rest of your hair needs freshening up, add a little more down the strands toward the tips. Make sure you don’t rub your dry shampoo into your scalp, it can accumulate and make it itch.
