Below are photographs of natural hair strands showing how they colour with henna, and how they intensify to darker shades after the indigo application. Also, please bear in mind that the henna used for these strand tests was mixed with part lemon juice and part water and therefore the henna colour is lighter than it would have been with a straight hot water mix.
