The benefits of olive oil are many. Weight loss, blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, cancer, arthritis — name it, and olive oil has a cure for it.

I use it in my deep conditioner. I mix a quarter cup of evoo, a quarter cup of honey, and a quarter cup of my conditioner, and I put it in my hair for a couple of hours. My hair comes out softer than it's ever been! I also put it in my spray bottle with water, and I spray my hair every night; it always works!

Since I was little I have seen my mother make her own natural shampoo using shikakai, reetha (soap nut) and orange or lemon peel. I had never tried it until recently when my favourite shampoo had its ingredients changed, and my hair refused to like the new ones. Luckily my mother was paying us a visit. And I decided to use her expertise of making this all natural homemade shampoo.

Pink grapefruit is lively, cleansing and is the secret of many a superstar dog! Fur that almost glistens and skin that says thank you for feeding me is something your dog can have... no matter whether it's a languid home spa day of shampoo and condition, or a quick spritz to lift spirit and make fur zing with health... this is the bundle bursting with energy and happiness.

Hooray for Olive Oil. Long overdue praise. It seemed everywhere I turned people were singing the praises of coconut oil. And although I like coconut oil better, I know olive oil seems to be more of a hit than coconut, which is a definite miss for a lot of people. I use both olive and coconut. Since olive is thicker, I like to use it as an oil rinse on wet hair and prefer to seal with coconut oil on damp or dry hair. Also, olive oil is better for winter, since coconut oil solidifies in cold weather.
